The integration targets newer models equipped with Hardware 3, positioning Grok as both a vehicular assistant and the neural core for Tesla's Optimus robot. Musk's abrupt announcement followed fan speculation after his earlier Grok presentation omitted Tesla synergies.

Leaked details reveal customizable Grok personalities—ranging from therapeutic to NSFW variants—discovered by a hacker known as "green." The rollout coincides with xAI's Grok 4 release, setting the stage for a summer AI showdown against OpenAI's anticipated GPT-5 model.
